❗️Hungary lifted its 17-month veto on Ukraine’s EU membership bid, FT reports, clearing the way for Ukraine and Moldova to open formal accession talks on June 15. The decision allows both countries to begin aligning laws with EU standards in the first negotiating cluster, after weeks of talks involving Kyiv, Budapest and Brussels.
