After reports of a FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile attack on the Kapustin Yar range in late January, satellite images taken after January 27 showed a large dark spot near the fence of site 105 and later a crater about 6 meters wide. This could suggest one missile may have reached the area and been shot down nearby or missed. No confirmed hits on infrastructure were recorded.
