🇺🇸 A #SouthCarolina inmate used a pencil to manipulate the locking mechanism of his jail cell and escape, according to officials. Charles Alexander Dieterich, 30, who escaped from the Chesterfield County Detention Center on Sept. 1, made his way through the kitchen and out an unlocked door before scaling a fence topped with barbed wire. Deputies tracked him down on a nearby road about 30 minutes later.
