Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the US proposal for an energy truce with Ukraine a "very good idea," saying Moscow remains in contact with Washington. He said a truce would allow Russian refineries to operate without threat and fully supply the domestic market. For global fuel prices to fall, Peskov demanded safe maritime access for oil tankers, accused Ukraine of threatening shipping, and called for Western energy sanctions on Russia to be lifted.
