Pro-Russian outlet ANNA News confirms the death of Maj. Gen. Anton Grunis, commander of Russia's 4th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade. It says sources inside the brigade confirmed the information. Grunis took command in 2023 after the previous brigade commander, Vyacheslav Makarov, was killed by a Ukrainian missile strike on the unit's command post. ANNA News says Grunis later commanded the brigade in fighting around Chasiv Yar and Kostiantynivka.
