Australia was prepared to provide the helicopters free of charge as it replaces them with AH-64E Apaches. Ukraine concluded that maintaining the Tigers, keeping them combat-ready and training pilots to operate the type would be too expensive. Australia is retiring the helicopters for similar reasons.
