Ukraine’s European Solidarity parliamentary faction voted to expel MP Oleksiy Goncharenko on October 5 over disagreements on ending the war and Ukraine’s future security architecture. The party said his public positions diverged from its principles, including a strong Ukrainian army and membership in the EU and NATO. It said Ukraine’s independence and right to determine its own security system cannot be compromised.
