Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed that Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refining and petrochemical complex in Bashkortostan on October 8. A fire broke out at the facility. The complex can process up to 10 million tonnes of hydrocarbon feedstock annually and produces gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene and other products. Ukraine’s General Staff says the facility supports the needs of Russian forces.
