Ukraine’s Khartiia Corps said Russian forces shelled a group of civilians being led toward the Shebelinka-Ostrogozhsk gas pipeline near Kupyansk on October 13. The group included two women, a child and several men and repeatedly came under mortar and artillery fire, according to the unit. Reconnaissance drone footage showed casualties among the civilians. Khartiia said Ukrainian troops did not open fire and assessed that the shelling came from the Russian-held eastern bank of the Oskil.
