Belgian PM Bart De Wever says he remains firmly opposed to using Russia’s frozen central bank assets now. He argued that frozen assets have historically remained untouched during wars before becoming part of eventual peace agreements. Asked about proposals from some EU leaders to use the assets this time, De Wever said: “Do I want to talk about it? No, I don’t.” He also noted that current EU rules require unanimity for action on the funds.
