Ukraine began signing new Defense Forces contracts with fixed service terms, guaranteed deferments after completion and an updated pay system. Civilians, mobilized troops, active servicemembers and current contract soldiers can apply from today. For serving troops, contract terms will range from 6 to 24 months, with deferments based on service length and combat experience.
