❗️Ukraine marked its 35th Independence Day with a display of unmanned systems across land, water and air in Kyiv. Ukrainian ground robotic systems moved along Khreshchatyk, naval drones sailed on the Dnipro River, while Ukrainian UAVs and aircraft took to the skies above the capital. With a full military parade currently impossible, the display showcased Ukraine’s unmanned capabilities.
Ukraine brought home 10 more service members from captivity on Independence Day in the second stage of the latest prisoner exchange. All 10 had previously been listed as missing: 2 since 2024 and 8 since 2025. They are Armed Forces and National Guard personnel who fought on the Donetsk front. The previous exchange on August 19 returned 103 Ukrainian service members.

Ukraine's General Staff confirmed damage to a Su-33, MiG-29 and Orion UAV at Vityazevo airfield in Anapa from the August 23 strike. Ukrainian forces also hit command posts in occupied Strilkove and Staromlynivka, logistics depots in occupied Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions, and an ST-68 radar in Rozdolne, occupied Crimea. The strikes took place on August 23 and overnight into August 24.
