President Zelensky said a key meeting was held to accelerate the development of small-scale anti-drone air defense within Ukraine’s Air Force. He said a new command structure was approved to focus specifically on this area, along with new management approaches. Zelensky set priorities including stronger protection for cities such as Kherson, Nikopol and border communities in Sumy region, where Russia carries out daily drone attacks on homes, infrastructure and civilian transport. He said Ukraine will scale up defenses against Shahed and other attack drones with more layers of protection and will spread successful battlefield practices across all defense units.
