The Center for Strategic and International Studies reported that Beijing became a crucial factor in Russia’s recovery. Trade between China and Russia reached nearly 250 billion dollars in 2024, up from 190 billion in 2022. China’s share of Russia’s foreign trade rose to 33.8 percent, compared to 11.3 percent in 2014. Analysts noted the importance of dual use goods that Russia employs for military purposes.
