Czech President Petr Pavel said concluding an agreement to end the war in Ukraine in the short term is unlikely because of Russia’s position. He said expectations of a quick deal between Ukraine, European countries, the US and Russia were naive. Pavel added that negotiations can succeed only when both sides are in relatively advantageous positions.
