Axios, citing a US official, reports the United States redeployed more than 50 F-35, F-22 and F-16 fighters to the Middle East in the past day. The carrier USS Gerald R Ford is heading to the region with guided missile destroyers including USS Mahan, USS Winston S Churchill, USS Bainbridge, USS Stockdale and USS Thomas Hudner. About 33 US warships are now in the region, capable of carrying up to 600 Tomahawk cruise missiles.
