The EU Council extended sanctions over human rights violations in Russia until May 28, 2027. Measures now target 72 individuals and 1 entity, imposing asset freezes, funding bans and entry restrictions on those responsible for repression, abuses against the population and democratic opposition, and undermining democracy and rule of law.
