Ukraine's ambassador to the UK Valerii Zaluzhnyi said he does not believe Ukraine will ever join NATO, after spending roughly 12 years working toward NATO standards. He argued that the Alliance remains tied to outdated doctrines and that Ukraine should focus on other security arrangements, including a possible European military bloc and deeper involvement in the Joint Expeditionary Force. He still acknowledged Ukraine needs NATO technologies, including anti-ballistic and space capabilities.
