❗️The US sold two seized tankers linked to Russia’s shadow fleet for scrap. Era, formerly Marinera and Bella 1, was detained in the North Atlantic on January 7 after the US said it carried sanctioned oil from Venezuela and Iran. Lileo, formerly Galileo and Veronica, was detained in the Caribbean and was under US sanctions over links to Russia. Dubai-based Global Marketing Systems bought both vessels in July; they will be dismantled in India.
