❗️Human Rights Watch is urging the US Congress to block the transfer of cluster munitions from Turkish stocks to Ukraine. The proposed re-export includes 70 ATACMS missiles, more than 2,500 M26 rockets and 47,000 artillery shells. Some have been stored for over 30 years, with HRW arguing their age increases the risk of unexploded submunitions posing a danger to civilians. The US State Department previously notified Congress of the possible re-export.
