Despite announcing a full exit from Russia in 2023, Binance responded to investigators with transaction records, his address, phone number, passport details and copies of his Russian passport and Bulgarian residence permit. Belenkiy, 49, was detained in September 2025 and is now jailed in Russia awaiting trial.
