Russian media report 5 people were killed and more than 130 injured in an explosion and fire at the Amur Gas Chemical Complex construction site. One of those killed was a Chinese citizen employed by a contractor. Nineteen people were hospitalized with moderate or severe injuries, while 104 sought medical help for bruises and cuts; six are in serious condition. Preliminary reports place the blast at an auxiliary section of the pyrolysis unit.
