China has become a key supply link for Russia's Shahed drones, WSJ reports. Ukrainian experts found turbojet engines from China's Telefly in newer variants that can reach about 480 km/h, roughly three times the speed of older models. Ukraine usually intercepts more than 90% of older Shaheds, but officials say the jet versions can outrun interceptor drones, forcing the use of fighters or scarce air defense missiles.Ukrainian specialists are also finding more Chinese antennas, modems, SIM cards, servos and gyroscopes in Shaheds as Western components decline. WSJ reports that many US and European parts previously reached Iran and Russia through intermediaries and shell companies in mainland China and Hong Kong.
