Russia is reportedly developing cheap jet-powered missiles for more frequent strikes on Ukraine, according to Serhii Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine's defense minister. The concept would combine speeds closer to conventional cruise missiles with lower costs, smaller warheads and larger production volumes. Ukraine is also developing jet-powered interceptor drones expected to engage targets traveling around 400-600 km/h, with cheap interceptor missiles such as APKWS potentially needed afterward.
