❗️The US imposed Iran-related sanctions on Russia's VTB Bank, accusing Russia's second-largest lender of involvement in Iranian sanctions evasion. The move adds to US sanctions imposed on VTB in 2022 following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington will continue targeting those providing material, technological or financial support that allows the Iranian government to operate.
