Ukrainian forces are pressing at several points along the Zherebets River north of Lyman, while Russia tries to establish a new defensive line. Russian sources report small Ukrainian groups operating around and east of the river near Terny and Yampolivka, though no large bridgehead has yet been established. They increasingly describe this stretch of the river as the main withdrawal route for Russian troops caught on the wrong side of the Ukrainian advance.Pressure is particularly visible around Ivanivka, where elements of Russia’s 254th Motor Rifle Regiment and other parts of the 144th Guards Motor Rifle Division remain. Their ground supply has been badly disrupted as Ukraine works around the village, increasingly isolating Russian troops there. Ukrainian troops are also operating in Kolodiazi and reportedly Myrne, though neither is confirmed under AFU control. Around Zarichne and Torske, elements of Russia’s 25th Combined Arms Army are trying to hold off increased Ukrainian attacks.
