South Korean President Lee Jae-myung expressed regret that Ukraine disclosed the transfer of North Korean POWs, saying the sides had agreed to keep it confidential. Lee called the repatriation issue highly sensitive because of its implications for diplomacy, national security and the Korean Peninsula. He said he did not know what circumstances led Ukraine to break the agreement, while stressing that Seoul had deliberately pursued the process without publicity.
