German Chancellor Friedrich Merz says he is personally negotiating with several world leaders to secure additional air defense supplies for Ukraine. Speaking alongside Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Berlin, Merz called air defense one of Ukraine’s biggest current challenges. He said allies are seeking to use every available option to strengthen it and prepare Ukraine for winter, including its energy supplies.
