An explosion and fire occurred near the boiler building at Russia's Transvit plant in Veliky Novgorod. Local reports say a gas cylinder may have caused the incident, which appears unrelated to Ukrainian strikes. Transvit is a major full-cycle electrical engineering producer, making transformers, magnetic cores and power supplies. The company participates in Russia's state defense order and supplies aviation, naval, nuclear and oil sectors.
