Ukraine’s strike on Marinovka airfield in Volgograd region may represent the longest known combat use of the Neptune-D cruise missile. From a likely safe launch area, the missile would have traveled more than 600 km to reach the target. Ukraine’s Navy says the Neptune strike destroyed two Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers belonging to the 11th Composite Aviation Regiment. The long-range Neptune is reported to have a maximum reach of up to 1,000 km.
