Satellite imagery analyzed by ABSreliable indicates a Russian Su-57 fifth-generation fighter was completely destroyed at Akhtubinsk airfield on October 29 after catching fire during an engine-start incident. ABSreliable says this would be the fourth Su-57 lost in 2026, after two aircraft were hit at Shagol earlier in the year and another was reportedly downed by friendly fire in Moscow region on July 23.
