Beget, one of Russia’s largest hosting providers, suffered a severe overnight outage. Monitoring data showed its network answering at only around 7% of normal at one point, while hundreds of routes were withdrawn. Beget said it was dealing with a “major incident” affecting multiple layers of its architecture and that engineers were manually reconfiguring infrastructure in its data centers. The cause has not been publicly confirmed, despite claims online of a cyberattack.
