Ukraine’s Security Service and Prosecutor General’s Office say Yulia Mendel has been formally notified in absentia of suspicion of treason under martial law and justifying Russia’s armed aggression. Investigators allege that her public statements and social media posts discredited Ukraine internationally and defended the Kremlin’s invasion. Mendel is outside Ukraine, and the investigation is continuing. The allegations have not been proven in court.
