According to an official statement from the KLIA District Police Chief, an assistant commissioner reported that a 27-year-old Chinese woman was seen sitting on a balcony in the Green Zone on Level 3 around 2:20 p.m. She was crying and screaming aggressively. Airport staff and security personnel tried to calm her down. A security officer approached to help her, but she struggled and fell (or jumped) into the loading bay area below.
