That simple act of fatherhood saved his life when the attacks occurred.Cantor Fitzgerald suffered the largest single corporate loss of life on 9/11 with 658 employees perishing in the tragedy. In the immediate aftermath Lutnick found himself leading a devastated company, while grappling with profound personal and professional loss.In the years that followed, he established the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and directed a significant portion of company profits toward supporting the victims families. The efforts provided approximately 180 million dollars in direct aid along with ten years of full healthcare coverage.Lutnicks story is both heartbreaking and profoundly human.
