US Senator John Kennedy pressed Marine Corps commandant Gen. Eric Smith during a Senate hearing on Russia, Ukraine and drones. Smith said Russia is not a friend, that Washington wants Ukraine to remain independent, and that Ukrainian forces have become skilled with drones. Kennedy said Ukraine is using limited resources to hit Russian oil infrastructure deep inside Russia, including more than 100 strikes since January.
