Russian outlet Mediazona says it confirmed through state records the death of Maj. Gen. Valery Plokhotnyuk, who reportedly died in the August 1 explosion at Moscow's Balzi Rossi restaurant. ASTRA separately reports that Maria Chaiko, daughter of Russian Aerospace Forces commander Alexander Chaiko, suffered serious injuries in the blast. Her husband, Daniil Peredriy, was previously reported killed.
