❗️ISW says Russia's Defense Ministry Volunteer Corps announced the formation of its first Ukrainian volunteer special forces brigade. Russia claims it includes Ukrainian POWs and former Ukrainian servicemen who switched sides. ISW says Russia has used Ukrainian POWs in combat formations since at least November 2022 and calls their use in combat units a grave violation of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
