Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation says the black box from the Su-24M that crashed in Khmelnytskyi region on June 16 showed failure of control-system elements on the left wing. The aircraft then lost control, began rotating around its axis, fell from more than 600 meters and reached 809 km/h. A preliminary Air Force investigation says the damage may have been caused by a bird strike. Final conclusions will follow additional aviation-technical examinations.
