European nations are finalizing plans to buy US-made Patriot interceptors for Ukraine through NATO's PURL program, Bloomberg reports. The number of missiles has not been disclosed for security reasons, but the interceptors are expected to arrive before winter. Zelenskyy has asked allies to provide 300 Patriot missiles.Greece, Germany and the Czech Republic are expected to contribute to the package. The UK has separately announced a new £100 million commitment to PURL, with an undisclosed portion going toward Patriot missiles. EU countries have also approved Ukraine's request for an exemption allowing it to use EU loan funds to purchase US-made Patriot interceptors.
