Ukraine's Navy says it struck the Russian frigate Admiral Essen in Novorossiysk overnight on September 9 using a Neptune missile. The frigate is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles. The strike was conducted together with other components of Ukraine's Defense Forces as part of attacks on Russian military infrastructure in Novorossiysk. The Navy says such operations are systematically reducing the combat capabilities of Russia's fleet.
