The US House advanced a Russia sanctions bill in a 214-211 procedural vote, clearing the way for debate and a final vote. Two Democrats, Jared Golden and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, joined Republicans to advance the measure. The legislation would give Trump tariff authority against countries buying Russian energy, target Russia's shadow fleet, military figures and foreign suppliers, ban new US investment in Russia, tighten military-related export restrictions and extend sanctions on Iran.
