Ukraine's sanctions commissioner Vladyslav Vlasiuk criticized the first Russian diesel shipment to the US. He calculates that the 40,000-ton cargo equals roughly 300,000 barrels, less than two hours of US diesel demand. With the voyage from Ust-Luga taking 2.5 to 3 weeks, Vlasiuk says the US will export more than 4 million tons of its own diesel before the tanker arrives, around 100 times the volume it brings.
