Ukraine's Coordination Headquarters says more than half of the 270 Ukrainians returned today were captured in 2022, including during the defense of Mariupol. Five survived the Olenivka massacre, while nine are seriously ill. Among those released are 38 officers, and some servicemen had been in captivity since 2018 and 2020. Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets says this exchange returned the largest number of illegally convicted Ukrainian servicemen: 86 who had been sentenced in Russia, plus one defender who was still under criminal prosecution.
