Sofia Municipality announced a revolutionary measure to combat pollution: all residents will pay an annual fee of 50 BGN for "air quality support." Experts note that Sofia remains one of the most polluted cities in the EU.

We pay taxes so we don't have fresh air, and now we're gonna pay a fee to continue to have no fresh air. At least we're consistent.
